Clean Truck Check Smog - OBD

The CTC applies to nearly all diesel and alternative fuel heavy-duty vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) over 14,000 lbs that operate on California public roads, regardless of registration status. This includes commercial trucks, buses, transit vehicles, and California-registered motorhomes with diesel engines.

Emissions compliance testing must be performed by a CARB credentialed tester and passing tests may be submitted by the tester up to 90 days prior to the vehicle’s compliance deadline to allow time for any necessary repairs. The report will automatically be sent to CARB.

Clean Truck Repairs

Once the clean truck check is completed and if it fails, CARB will provide us with a list of reasons for failure. You can leave the vehicle with us to do the repairs. Once repairs are completed and the vehicle has been driven (as advised), you can bring the vehicle back to us for a CARB retest.
